- 蒸気(じょうき、英: Vapor, Vapour)は、物質が液体から蒸発して、あるいは固体から昇華して、気体になった状態のもの。特に臨界温度以下の物質の気相を指すこともある。日本語においてしばしば水蒸気 (Steam) の略語として用いられる。蒸気機関の蒸気も水蒸気の意味である。
