- 不確実性（ふかくじつせい、Uncertainty）とは、話題の事象が確実でないことを指す概念である。日本の工学分野では「不確かさ」とほぼ同じ意味とされる。
- 今後起きる事象に伴う危険（リスク）と同義で使用される場合が多いが、生起確率すら計算できない場合についてのみ指す場合もある。フランク・ナイトやジョン・メイナード・ケインズらは、後者の意味で不確実性を用いた。
