- ベーコン(Bacon)とは、豚肉を塩漬けして燻製にしたもの。本来は豚の半丸枝肉を塩漬けし燻煙したサイドベーコンだが、日本ではバラ肉の部位を用いたものを特にベーコンと言い、他の部位はロースベーコン、ショルダーベーコンなどと言う。なおモモ肉の部位はハムにし、ベーコンには加工しない。
